Craig J. Snider
Craig J Snider is an award-winning composer, producer, remixer, songwriter, former NY Post celebrity music critic, multi-instrumentalist, and studio owner. Among his many credits are the numerous films he has scored, including his score and music supervision for director-writer Nancy Goodman’s new romantic comedy Surprise Me, now on Amazon Prime.
Snider also has an extensive track record in scoring documentaries, including Head Games, directed by Steve James, renowned director of Hoop Dreams; A&E’s David Cassidy: The Last Session; two episodes of the New York Times Presents documentary series appearing on FX; and six episodes of the documentary series, Hitler, the Lost Tapes of the Third Reich on Hulu. Snider is currently working on the score for an erotic thriller on ALLBLK, The Match, slated for 2024.
Snider has also established himself as a successful producer, arranger and keyboardist on a string of remixes and album productions that have consistently topped Billboard’s dance chart: more than 50 number one hits. Included in this stellar line-up are: the remix of Lady Gaga’s “Stupid Love”; U2’s “Summer of Love”; Dido’s comeback single “Give You Up”; and Katy Perry’s “Chained To The Rhythm” and “Birthday.” He produced David Cassidy’s 2019 EP release, Songs My Father Taught Me, which attained number one billing on Apple Jazz charts, and is featured in A&E’s documentary The Last Session, filmed and recorded at Snider’s Mix Kitchen studios. In addition, his production of Stacey Jackson’s cover of the Foreigner classic “Urgent,” reached the top 10 in UK charts. Snider’s newest project with Grammy-winning DJ/Producer Ralphi Rosario – The Shamanic group– released two singles, “Fire” and “FK Always,” which catapulted to Top 10 on the UK Pop/ Dance Charts.
Snider’s scope of experience extends even further: as a composer of original music for advertising and television, he has placed numerous songs and composed music for such television shows as American Greed, The Voice, Corporate, Madame Secretary, MTV Real World, and Sex and the City. He has scored thousands of commercials for clients that include Weber Grills, Nissan, ESPN, Blue Cross, Gatorade, Toyota, and McDonald’s.
As a live performer, Snider was keyboardist and vocalist for the David Cassidy Touring Band. He additionally served as the music director for both the David Cassidy Touring Band, and for singer, songwriter, Kristine W.Snider studied at the New England Conservatory and Berklee College of Music and received his BA in piano and composition from Northwestern University.
