McDonalds Black365 brings ‘Good Things ‘ to the neighborhood

Mix Kitchen’s Sam Fishkin collaborated with editor Bob Ackerman of The Colonie and director Joe Pytka on McDonald’s 365BlackGood Things” for Burrell Communications. The spot features the work of Refa One of AeroSoul, a group whose mission is to promote the African diaspora’s writing culture thru “spray can/aerosol art.” In the video, street artists makeover a neighborhood spattered with gang graffiti into a scenic landscape of art and creativity. Sam mixes voiceover, sound design, and Marvin Gaye’s “Inner City Blues” over a night in a gritty urban city as it transforms into a bright, sunny, picturesque day. The nationally broadcast spot also appears on the McDonald’s 365Black website and is part of the “Spread Lovin’” campaign that’s received a lot of publicity.
